I was Senior UX Designer for Mono Solutions for a year, while living in Copenhagen.
What I Did:
Education: As a trusted senior member of the design team who had both an understanding of the product, and a personable nature, I was often enlisted to help onboard new teams. This involved flying all over Europe and presenting to rooms of designers and new users.
I was also flown out to Los Angeles to help onboard our biggest ever (multi-million dollar) client.
User research: Part of the education trips also became user research, as I’d often gather feedback and a strong understanding of how users were working with our platform. Everything from frustrations and common workarounds to things that delighted them.
Collaboration: I was brought in to assist the design team with feature development, I worked with product and marketing to help support with required materials, I worked with the three founders to help implement design requirements and I worked closely with the development team.
Alex has a knack for simplifying and communicating high level conceptual ideas. Beyond being a design and product champion, Alex was an joy to work with and a great team member.
I was really impressed with his work ethics and the productivity within the team. It is very difficult to label him only UX and visual designer because he has all around knowledge and hands-on experience with design, front-end, branding, marketing and communication. Alex conducted workshops to educate new clients. Alex has a systematic approach toward tackling a problem. He is a quick learner and he is open to new ideas which makes him an important asset for any company.
Beside his awesome design experience, his frontend development knowledge also helped the development team have a better collaboration with his department.
My warmest recommendations to any company looking for a skilled and creative designer with a strong personality and great social skills. It has been an absolute pleasure working with Alex; especially on marketing and campaign related tasks at Mono Solutions. He was an indispensable source of creativity during a re-branding of our marketing and content materials last year, and all tasks were completed swiftly and always with a creative touch and thoroughness. Besides his great qualities as a designer, I will miss Alex for his great humour and cheerful personality. .
